Waking sleeping giants
Our wake up call seems to have stirred this snack food giant – now the second largest in the world. After the launch of our public awareness campaign, we received a ‘private’ letter from Diamond Foods, stating its concern about the campaign and asking us to take it down. It still did not give us the clear answer we seek: What steps does Diamond Foods take to ensure child labour is not utilized in any part of the production of its cashew nuts?
